My weekly classes focus on functional and mindful movement with simplicity in mind, making it accessible to all ages and abilities.  I teach a combination of somatic yoga, yoga flow and restorative yoga, and I tailor the pace and intensity of the class based on season - stronger, faster-pace in the warmer months and gentler, slower-pace in the colder months.

The practice of somatic yoga is an exploration of our somatic experience.  In other words, our own internal experience of our body.  Unlike the more conventional studio yoga, the emphasis is on moving in a way that suits your body instead of following strict alignment in fixed poses.  There will often be a yoga flow or two in each class that includes some foundational yoga poses just for fun.  I believe in making movement a joyful experience so classes are light-hearted and aimed at those who wish to explore yoga for wellbeing rather than as an acrobatic practice.

I also offer workshops and mini-retreats in and around Lewes, East Sussex.  These offerings are planned with busy parents in mind, to offer some much-needed downtime and space to rest and recharge.  These sessions are suitable also for those who benefits from gentle movement but may have restricted mobility or in recovery.  The intention of these workshops and mini-retreats is to encourage our body and mind to unwind and to reset our nervous system through the practice of restorative yoga.

In classes, workshops and retreats, I see my role as a guide and facilitator rather than a teacher.  Participants are encouraged to practise self-agency, to listen to their own bodies and follow the yogic principle of finding a balance between self-discipline and self-compassion.
